I have a pretty worn out trailer. Floor needs replacing and it's a bit big. 1700 wide by 3100 long.
It's not a pretty thing and will take a few hours/days of fettling and expense to repair.
There are a few bits on it that are very much worth recycling.
I've had a look at cutting it with the reciprocating saw and have been able to cut a few nibbles.
Other options I have are 9" angle grinder.
These are both noisy and have a consumables cost to them.
But I could also, kit out for Oxy/Propane (see what I've done there?) and gas cut it up.
The O/P would be much quieter for everyone, and I'd have a new way to heat and destroy things.
If it were you, and you had all the options (please don't mention Plasma Cutter, I don't have enough free air for one (yet)). What would be your prefered way to break it up, both efficiently and cost effectively?
Cut the wheel cover with the reciprocating saw, slow and loud!
Box section cut easily with reciprocating saw
Angle iron, not so happy about, it's a decent gauge.
