Demarcation of concrete floor

Hi all, the company I work for needs to demarcate various zones in the Tipping Hall of an energy from waste plant. This is where the refuse vehicles back into, tip their loads and depart and we regularly end up with loose waste on the floor. To minimise human interaction with the waste we use a telehandler with a bucket attachment to scrape up the waste and deposit it in the waste chute. We need a hard-as-nails floor coating, preferably dyed concrete for a long-lasting finish, does anyone know of any companies that deliver this service please? The only thing is we need the colours to be bright and easy to distinguish, as we have to have an idiot-resistant (visibility-wise) safety zone in front of the chutes where pedestrians are not allowed. We've been to0ld that other sites in the same industry have tried epoxy floor coatings to produce demarcation lines, and they are OK as long as the bucket of the Telehandler doesn't have to cross them at right-angles as the lip of the bucket planes it's way under the edge of the epoxy paint and lifts it straight off.

Doing that you could even embed LEDs in the epoxy for an extra visibility "punch"

Ask the council's highway agency if you could borrow their lines marking team to mark an area...

The embedded LED approach had been thought of by me and others ibrooks, thanks for suggesting it though. My only worry with that it the encasement of the LEDs would have to be a tough as nails to withstand, Roadside Collection Vehicles, Roll-on Roll-off & articulated HGVs and the blade of a Telehandler with bucket traversing across them on a daily basis. Plus which it would add to the workload of our maintenance team which I'm trying to avoid. In an ideal world we'd be one of those companies you read about who 'work closely with XX company to innovate and design a new system for marking out lines in a tough environment', but sadly we aren't in said ideal world

Surely if the LEDs are in the bottom of a groove and shining through a translucent epoxy they should be fairly well protected. The surface layer of the epoxy will obviously suffer some abuse but, assuming the original groove is deep enough, periodically the first few mm could be planed of and a new layer poured in. If the LED's a sufficiently bright even damage to the surface layer shouldn't be an issue for a good while as it'll act like a diffuser.

If a neat groove could be cut then a Perspex or polycarbonate block could be dropped in on top of LEDs (maybe with some sort of adhesive to retain it). Again it would be sacrificial over time but easy to replace (pending that adhesive) and I'd imagine it would last a fair while as the edge would fairly soon be a couple of mm below the concrete and even with a layer of scratches, gouges, embedded dirt it would light up.

We have previously mixed cement dyes with white spirit and painted it on, the front door step at my parents is still red 25 years on.

A friend of mine has a line marking business, he does all the lines on railway platforms and the mind the gap signs on the platform edges, they use single pack epoxy for most of it airless sprayed with a trolley mounted engine driven paint machine.
I work on his machines but don't really know much about the process other than like all paint jobs the secret is in the preparation, I do know that the surface is ground back to clean concrete before painting.
