Delivery from china

My shop river stuff came in two weeks tracked by DHL and I had to pay VAT before they would deliver to me. It was worth it though.

Only ever bought one thing from an E**y seller in China; it never arrived, I won't bother again. Only a handful of shekels luckily but that's not the point.

If it is arriving as part load of a container on a ship my imports frequently take up to 80 days including clearance through UK customs. Then a week to get things deliverd via the port and carrier to me.

The actual steaming time is usually only 22 days for a milk run sailing doing several international ports on the milk run .

If it is one of the biggest container ships add a few more days for they can only access the deeper ports

Air freight however is usually only five working days.

I bought a solder pot which arrived in 7 days (5 working days) and was packed so beautifully it felt like my birthday. Moss green 'brown' paper neatly tied with string and real knots and liberally decorated with highly coloured stamps. A philatelist's delight. It was almost too pretty to open AND it came with a free pen with alternate black/red ink (and a UK plug adapter).
I've also bought an in-car charger adapter for my i-phone. Didn't take long but I wasn't counting the days for the princely sum of 49p inc postage. Half the price of the previous one I bought - also from China - which I got refunded for as the seller was struck off the day after I bought it.
The only other Chinese import I've been tempted by was a 3" plastic model of a whale skeleton Some months after buying it I came through the hall in the dark (where it lives with other mini junk in a glass cabinet) to be mildly alarmed and amused to discover it glowed in the dark. It's probably radioactive

I think these tig parts really must be on a slow boat from China, Tracking shows item left China on 6th may, no arrival in uk shown yet,

At the prices they charge that is quite frankly amazing !! UPS, FedEx and DHL are the worst couriers on the planet, it fills me with dread when ever a supplier uses them to send something to me. From the states it's difficult to beat the USPS for price and service, they could teach the Royal Mail a thing or two !

Be nice if they landed the plane before unloading it once in a while

It is now two full months since I ordered the WP9 tig parts, Tracking shows still not arrived in U.K. I have bought the parts required from the U.K and had a refund from Ebay,
What happens if they do eventually turn up.Will the seller send me the postage to return them to China? What usually happens in this situation, Items were only to the value of about £20-00.

Keep them, it won't be worth while posting them back.

You will find that the seller can claim the money back if you "receive" them

I spoke to ebay on the phone and was told that they would not give the seller the money back after a refund was paid to me,What would be the point of returning their money as after waiting 2 months I don't need the item as I have recently bought elsewhere,
