you think ?? seriously ,, I weld these things every week , Ill never run out of work as long as folk keep throwing cash at these ,,, I can pretty much walk up to any disco and poke a screwdriver through it . I weld that many I keep a stock of inner sills in 2mm and outers in 1.5 , and matching floor repair sections. Rear wheel arches where the inners meet the sils are a crime , a post bottoms and floors at the drivers feet and passengers feet are a total staple ,, I see more td5s than anything else now , most of the 200s have gone , and 300s worth patching are done , 5s are my living really . However what I will say is I have never welded a newer shape disco , other than accident damage , they seem to have improved things there ,,Not on a TD5, chassis yes but those things are all 200/300tdi failures

I really do think you should get bored with that defender and sell it to me!Hope not on my galvanised chassis treated with Noxudol.
Oh the TD5, of all the cars I have had the TD5 Disco is by far the worst, in it defence it might be that ours had been so badly neglected. I have many Land Rovers so its not that I am against them but the TD5 engine when running properly it is fairly handy.
