Deepest Norfolk

Just a quick intro. My name is Cha7z (the 7 is silent) and I'm a hot-rodder! Sounds like like an intro to AA! I'm building a 'phantom' woodie from a Morris Oxford Estate. Rover V8, Ford running gear etc. I had some work done on it and, I'm afraid, not done very well so I'm teaching myself to weld to do it myself.
I live in South Norfolk but don't hold that against me please!
This forum has already helped me in the past. Not sure I can do much for others, but you never know!

Is the Oxford the Countryman version, like a Minor, with timber?

Yes......and no! It is the all steel Traveller, no wood. 1959

See below!! Before and so far! The car was a 4 door and I have based in on the Ford 1950 'woodies' so it is a 2 door now and the frame still needs some work to take the wood.

Hi. I paid a lot of money up front and ongoing (I know....MUG!!) for work to be done and for parts he was supposedly buying for the car....when I eventually came to my senses and took the car back, he hadn't been buying any parts, just spending the money and not working on my car and what he had done varied between very good at first to absolutely awful as he went on. I got suspicious when he was never able to be there when I wanted to see the car.
Of course, got a ccj for the £5K but chances of getting the money is next to none I'm afraid.
So, now it's DIY!!!!!

I'm afraid that although I call myself a Suffolk boy......anything but Norfolk boy ()........ I was born in Essex!

Hi there and as they say in Norfolk, gimme six. That's a nice project but I think I would have been tempted to keep it standard but that's just my take.

Hi Coo....should've saved myself soooooo much grief and money by doing myself in the first place!

Hi Pedrobedro...high 6 to you! It was very, very poor condition when I got it...proabably not salvageable as a resto and I'm afraid I can't do bog standard and I want to be sure that when I turn up on a field somewhere it WILL be the only one there!
The car did carry a donor card so it has helped to save the lives of a number of others!!
