decisions decisions.....which inverter to buy?!

alright guys,

Im sick of the duty cycle on my cheapo buzz box. managed to hit the thermal cut out, left to cool for half an hour for it to trip after one rod!

so im looking for an inverter but ive spent a few days uming and awing about which one!

ive narrowed it down to the following...

Thermal Arc 175se

Parweld xts162

or

R Tech pro arc 175

They all seem pretty equal specification wise... which just adds to my indecision! haha

Im also wondering about the lift tig functions, noone seems to review this online anywhere for these machines!

I've had a thermal arc 175se for about 4 or 5 years now. I can't fault it, its worked perfect from day one. I have done a good bit of tig with it as well as stick and I find it very good for both. the lift tig is very good, it's very easy to get a nice start with it.

+1 for the Thermal Arc 175se. So smooth to use. Not tried TIG yet as I only just got the Argon but will be trying it out in the next week or 2.

I have the R Tech and its a brilliant machine, so would recommend it.

Hi, my first post, but long time lurker, so greetings to all.
I have the Parweld, lovely little set for both arc and lift tig, looks decently made and a 3 year warranty.

Pretty much of a muchness between those units, if you have a good dealer within travelling distance go with them, then if you have a problem just drop it in to them.

If you're purchasing buy post its down to the price, what you get in the deal for your money and the back service of the supplier.

I had the same decision a couple months ago and went with the r tech because of the service on 3.2mm i havent hit the thermal trip i beams up
The standard r tech comes with 1 meter leads but i spoke to them and rhey threw in a set of 3 meter cables but the electrode holder isnt the best and will be replaced when i get an opportunity
