Decent tin snips for stainless

I used a 5" cordless grinder to do mine today.

Problem with grinders is there is usually alot of soot/dust in the area and grinders kick it up more. I use a grinder, or a multi tool, if access is too tight for snips but for normal day to day work snips are better.

It's easier to work WITH gravity!

Also, when it gets stuck then releases with a shock, it's far easier and safer to be pulling it down rather than up!

I didnt mean pull the whole liner up. Just the excess

We do have to do it that way sometimes, but it's not much easier for the guy on the roof, and he is using the same kind of snips.

A Dremel with the flexi drive and a cut off wheel might be good in an enclosed space.

That may work, depending on how easy, quick, and neat it will cut.

i can't imagine using a hand saw to stainless ducting, been easy or funny.

Slightly off-topic (as I doubt the OP has the space to wield one for Flues)... buy
I was using my Parkside Leccy Nibbler yesterday cutting some 1.2mm Galv sheet... and it zips through stuff effortlessly & leaves a nice clean edge (if you hold a small workpiece and keep the Nibbler steady, its even pretty good for fine trimming & shaping)
(.... not btw that anything I do could be considered "fine" - quite the opposite. I just tried making a new inner wheelarch for my van & it's truly abysmal to look at ).

Anyway... Will a Nibbler stand up to cutting thin stainless?

Will probably be kept for hime use, rather than work, but i will try them on liners.

Picked up a new, old (I assume as no Irwin markings?) Pair of 8" gilbows for £2 today.

Nice buy, they are the pre-irwin made in England originals. I'd save them for home personally.

I bought a similar pair a couple of years ago, from Home Workshop. I think that I paid around £8 for them. But I didn't think that was expensive.
