how about a luton body off a transit , or one of the gpo pods , sheds are very dear for what they are .We lost our wee shed at our cottage in the storms on Friday so need a new shed. Who sells decent sheds online that deliver to West of Fraserburgh. Size needed is 4’ x 8’ with the door on the 4’ side and no windows.
I've just bought a metal shed, it still lies on the concrete base in its cardboard box.I have a metal shed which I put together with pop rivets instead of the supplied screws - nice and sturdy. However I wouldn't recommend them due to not having a base and terrible condensation. Have you considered a plastic shed ?
im surprised that shed was well sheltered where it was unless ( salt )We lost our wee shed at our cottage in the storms on Friday so need a new shed. Who sells decent sheds online that deliver to West of Fraserburgh. Size needed is 4’ x 8’ with the door on the 4’ side and no windows.
I have no leaks between the panels so wouldn't bother with silicone. I "tacked" the shed together with a few self tappers then riveted the rest of the holes before removing the self tappers and replacing them with rivets. I have an air riveter but also used a lazy tongue riveter as the normal hand type was too hard workI've just bought a metal shed, it still lies on the concrete base in its cardboard box.
Would you recommend pop rivets over the hundreds of self tappers?
I was thinking of putting a line of silicone sealant down each overlap before joining together, wise?
I spent the same amount of money on a 6x8 from a local company, delivered and assembled. I was in dire need of storage after moving house 18 months ago, and covid was upon us, so had no alternative.I looked at sheds for many weeks...I was prepared to buy as I was short of time but came to the conclusion that the ones that I was prepared to pay for were hopelessly over-priced for not much gain and the cheaper ones might as well have been built out of wet cardboard. Eventually I ended up spending about £1,200 and built myself a 12' x 8' shed with apex roof and covered in rubber sheet. It's solid, won't fall down at the first breath of wind and doesn't leak!
