I last pair I bought are Purofort Field Pro, felt a bit funny at first because the grip the ankle but it makes them really nice to walk in because they don't flop around

Of no help to the OP but Dunlop ribbed (NCB) wellies were what most folks wore for motorcycle trials riding in the 70’s, at least until Alpinestars came along.

two years into mine they've been up and down the country through many rivers and up tors, even been down to durdle door in a storm got full of sea water. Great wellies, they are lasting way better than my Chameau's ever did

Prefer riggers myself. Though getting a decent pair is impossible luckily I get them free from my adventures on ships so they don’t have to last me any particular length of time.
Fish farm lads all wear these though they are heavy buggers. Take some beating though.

I keep wondering about wellies for the odd muddy Autojumble, but reading all this I don't think I will bother, my Sketchers walking boots are 12 months old and just starting to fall apart, but had daily use and under £100.
Have to see if Aldi do them chap again as I am too tight to buy expensive wellies, looking at some of the feed back its pot luck how long they last.
Some things are worth the extra cost some not, but often it can be difficult to tell.

The last Aldi ones I got lasted about 6 months, not very good quality so it will be interesting to see if they have improved
