Decent Multimeter / Handheld Scope?

Is this going to be used in your daily job or occasional hobby work?

Only once in my life have I lugged my scope down to the garage, every other time a cheap £20 multimeter did the job.

More for DIY jobs, But have wanted a scope for a while now. Only so much a Multimeter & live data tells you. Tools are the devil I'm sure!

I went through the trauma of replacing a meter last year as I reversed over my all singing and dancing Chinese job and the Disco won. It had hundreds of functions but when evaluating I only actually used 3 or 4 of them. The complexity of it gave me more hassle messing around checking it was actually in the right mode and telling me what I thought it was telling me. In the end I went for simple but quality - a fluke 113 which has just half a dozen functions. Dead simple to use, readings are repeatable and I trust it which is what you need when testing and troubleshooting. My advice, keep it as simple as possible for your needs.

The other thing about a scope, is that the scope is the cheap part, all the leads and clamps cost much more.
