Maybe I'd better start filtering my jerry contents.

I have two spouts - rigid and flexible. Both have a fine mesh filter where they clamp to the can.

I might just stuff a stainless pan scrubber down the spout - good enough to filter any paint flakes out. There's 20L of petrol been in it for months, and if I used that without filtering (not that there's been any trouble so far), I'd kick myself every minute I had to spend cleaning out the bike tank.

I'm going to cut open a spare can and make into a tool box.
