Hi,
I only use the welder occasionally, so I'm going to stick with gasless for the moment. Looking around it seems that it would make sense to make sure I'm at least using decent wire. Various articles refer to specifications "E71T-GS" and "E71T-11". The second is said to be OK for multiple passes. which sounds like a good idea. But these are American standards/designations, and although E71T-GS appears from various suppliers in the UK, E71T-11 seems only to be available from the US.
Any recommendations for UK products?
Use of the welder is pretty much always trying to repair things, for example I have two broken rakes to fix at the moment (and a third if I can find the missing bit). And a scythe as well, but that might be more difficult as the steel is thinner. Last use before that was patching the rusted deck on a mower. So the jobs are all small and fiddly.
Thanks, Tony S
