Ive got a couple of deburrers, i little hook type, and a double wheel job, used that a lot for sheet metal.

Okay for drilled holes, sheared edges, decent quality laser cuts, but not really plasma etc.

FYO, plasma cuts are hard (too hard for deburrers!) because they're nitrided by the air (mostly Nitrogen) plasma. Nitriding using plasma or salts is a common surface hardening process.

I love deburrers. Am yet to be convinced about dice though.

Re plasma cut edges, I had wondered if they were harder, they always seem to be, my pathetic guess that they might be Nitrided may wel be right.
It looks as though I have fund the right tol for the job, I am after cleaning up mostly sheared edges and maybe ground as well.

Another vote for Noga, I've used one for years. My old boss said the bloke who invented them should be decorated when he first used one, 10 minutes later the same bloke should be shot when he cut himself with it (due to not using it correctly)

same goes for oxy-acet' cut surfaces they become surface hardened & cant be touched. but the dice....?

Ofte wondered about de-burrers. Might give them a go after this thread. Thankyou for all comments.
Worked with an arquitect, he gave me a copy of the DiceMan. Def the way to madness.Liked the ending. Hanging off a cliff, the fuzz below, trying to get out.....need to throw the dice... I tried drilling out the dots and filling with lead. It did not increase my odds on a life improvement.

I confess I was being ironic, look at the build on the bit that holds the cutting tools, on modern ones it is just a push fit in cheapo plastic not that unbreakable stuff.

I found the one i bought today and gave it a try.
Most impressed for three quid, should become an essental item.
if it dies I will spend a bit more and buy a posh one.

Have you tried the countersink type on stainless BS? Any good? Just that one is 40 quid new. You got a bargain.
