After many years, I’ve now moved my leather stamping table out of the concrete floored conservatory, and into the house.
I was a bit worried about sound travelling through the granite block, into the wooden work table, and through the floorboards. I didn’t want the noise to annoy my next door neighbour, so fitted a 2cm thick pad of high density rubber under both the granite slab, and my wooden log. There are also pads under the work table legs.
It seems to be doing a reasonable job, but is there something else I can be doing to reduce any noise transferring along the wooden floor.
Details of high density rubber below.
