Day one of diet

Eat the same stuff - just less of it - see what happens?

I lost 11/2 stone like that in about 6 months. No real pain. Just been sensible. But theres nothing quite like a good steak with triple cooked chips!

Wifey reducing her intake of food a bit as well.

Not that she wants to loose weight - she is happy with her size!

She has over the years got bigger and don't wanna get any bigger!

I drink - not to excess - but I do drink...

"beer belly" - there is a term for it.

I've put on 3kgs over the last two years, the works doctor told me, mandatory, biannual health check, my eye sights worse, slightly, but hey I'm nearly 50, it's the beer not the food here.

I too see it as gradual increase - gradual decrease....

Eat a little bit less - walk the dog a little bit further - two pints of beer instead of four!

One bread roll instead of two.

Can't you just skip a meal and replace with a sandwich ?

I would lose weight on that diet. I wouldn't eat it.

Look at attached photo - no bread/spuds/pastry - light lunch at workshop.

Yes there is an avacado and sweetcorn - but dressing was half olive and and half lemon juice.

Throw it into a deep fat frier to add a bit of flavour

If you use more olive oil, you will find it a lot easier to scrape it straight into the bin .

I've been a strict vegi since birth (66 years), and tea total 30+ years, yet am still massively overweight (18+ stone). The only way I ever loose weight is to go on a 1000, or less, calorie diet however I can only keep that up for around 2 weeks before I start to feel really ill Mobility problems means I can't exercise either.

Good on you for trying something, Ive always been around the 75kg mark and 32-34 inch waist but over the past year or so ive gained a belly! I would like to try and do something but not sure where to start!

Just cut out anything with sugar and carbs in it. Eat as much meat and animal fat as you like. Works for me.

Very sensible, it's a choice to take care of yourself.

When I put on weight and notice it a cut back on eating and like some miracle I loose it again.

If you can cut out the carbs and increase fat the hunger will disappear, you eat less and loose weight. Also try intermittent fasting.
