Top tips
Do Not clip the surround in this is the very last job, wire it all up first.
Any issues send the seller a question.
I have fitted a few now and the odd one needed a wire of two cutting or connecting but from memory the transit one was easy as long as you don't fit the surround first as I cant see how to undo it.
Once set up they are great, even reads text messages for you

Won't a dashboard mount clear the blinds so they can pass between the windscreen and the unit body?

Its a MK7 transit they have loads of storage things that open all in the way of a dash mounted camera

Ah. Is there any way you could have an overhead screen/dashcam mount I.e. hang it from the cab ceiling maybe?

No I have screen for the rearview camera in place of the mirror but no more room, unless i could find a tiny camera like a reversing one with a separate recorder?

There are mirror type dashcam that come with a rear camera that doubles as a reversing cam..... so perhaps you could replace your existing unit with one?
Alternatively theoretically you could simply mount a unit lower where the dashcam.on the body is useless - but use the rear cam as a front remote position cam?
