I have another Dan Mig. It is a 200 amp 110/220 volt machine. It is kind of an odd ball. I have done some testing on the machine and I was hoping someone can steer me in the right direction. I tested voltage out of the rectifier and it produces 17-30 volts D/C as you change the heat settings. I didn't check the max voltage. The wire feeds fine and the gas solenoid works well. As soon as you try to weld the voltage drops to zero. The voltage then comes back up but drops again when you try and weld. Any ideas what could cause this? The welder has a very small capacitor bank. Much smaller than the Dan 180 amp. It is strange

Thanks! I will check that. I just finished fixing another Dan Mig. It is now working great but it is apart because I am putting new casters on it. I have a little hydraulic lift I use to help with the welders. It pumps the welder up a few feet so you can sit in a chair and work on it
