Just a heads up as it may save someone some pennies.

Wife has a Sandero Stepway 15 plate.

Wipers stopped working. I took the valance off and the motor was under water!

It sits in this stupid well in front of the driver. There is a drain but it had crud in it and filled up.

Just a caution up to check it at service time. Valance slides off easily enough so it’s a 5 minute job

Our old Berlingo was getting water in the front footwells and I took the plastic scuttle off to investigate. I dug half a bucket of compost out of the drain on each side then ran the hose through to clear the rest. It must have been parked under a tree most of it's previous ownership.

lots of modern cars and vans suffer with blocked scuttle drains I have changed a couple of brake servos on VAG cars because they have failed due to being submerred, Peugeot Boxer gearboxes can fill with water because the scuttle drain is directly on top of the gearbox breather. Corsa, Focus, Fiesta, Galaxy can all have problems

Not in the Dacia one. It’s 3 torx fittings (all different) and a bit of a knack to slide it off without busting it. It’s easy just you need to know how to do it
