Dacia logan estate

Thinking of purchasing a dacia logan mcv. dont want bells and whistles, ran a series 111 landrover and several 90's and a defender for years so not fussy, anyone out there got one or know someone that has, renault engineering on a budget price, just want something that can take a load plus 3dogs and the wife with minimum expense , A to B and thats it , less than 9000mls a year .All opinions gratefully wanted ,dont hold back , spoke to 1 owner and he loves it as a 2nd car.

We test drove one and found it to be too noisy for our tastes and a bit gutless

think I would spend my money on an older decent car over one of these woeful things. they make sense for holiday hire cars etc..

they all seem to have tiny engine sizes so you would end up thrashing the **** off the things to travel at a decent rate of speed.

Renault engineering is not a good thing.

for cheap estate cars look at saabs. the weird fronted 95's are cheap as chips. or insignias.

My father in law gave up his aging x-type jag for a Sandero Stepway, he loves it: cheap road tax, economical and a newish one with warranty was cheap. its not fast but comfortable enough.

Our only local garage is a renault dealer and appears to sell loads of them, I am not aware of any significant problems.

Reviews seem very positive bar depreciation.

Buy a 12month old one as then someone else has hit the depression on value.

They are really plastic but brilliant if you have a car that you don't mind using and abusing.

Just don't expect it to be worth any serious money in 10years time

With the probable changes in the way we use fuel you couldn't predict the value of *any* car in ten years.

i considered buying a sandero at one point.
i wanted a car with a warranty that i really don't care about if it got dented or scratched.
my works lease car system charges £350 a month so 4200 a year so if i had a sandero longer than 2 years i would be saving money and when it breaks literally throw it away.
i don't know anyone who's had any real issues with them other than that they are cheap an nasty.
but it works so take advantage of having a vehicle your probably not going to have issues with and don't care about.
if your used to landys then the dacia might be a good car to have.

I know a guy that bought a dci logan estate,the lauraete model and absolutely loves it,not posh but does what it needs to
