The D2 (2004 TD5) has been off the road for some time but I have just reinsured it and was aiming to get it MOT'd soon.
I started and moved it earlier so I could get the D3 in the workshop - all fine, started, moved and turned off, didnt lock it. I left the keys in the ignition. I finished not figuring out what was wrong with the D3 and went to put the D2 back. Turned the key, all dash lights lit up but nothing. The red immobiliser LED on the dash stayed on (I think it was solid but it may have been flashing, sorry, cant remember).
Pressing buttons on the fob did nothing (little LED on the fob was flashing). I tried the other fob - the same result. I locked it on the key. Fob still did nothing. Unlocked it on the key and the alarm went off. Pulled the battery for a bit, same results.
Used the EKA code to get in and it started fine and I put it away.
Not sure what to do next. Do I need to re-pair keys somehow? I have nanocom when it bothers to work/connect. I also have Hawkeye Total which is much more reliable even if less able. How does the RF function work on nanocom? Will that test the keys? Is it likely the RF receiver?
Whilst it has sat for some time, the battery is new. I havent charged it for a few weeks, but its more than enough to start the car so cant imagine its an issue.
