Can you ask you local lifting company when your job takes you that way?

Thanks Paul, think I’m asking for the impossible, plenty available at 140 to 150mm long but mostly at 30mm diameter and above. I need betwee 5 to 8. If not I’ll have to make one

Anything between 5 to 8 mm diameter, and not for lifting

I've made some short ones in 6mm stainless for a food industry application, the eyes were M8 nuts welded on, just drill the thread out of one of them, and use a hex head bolt for the pin,

Not sure about 5-8mm, but you can get 150mm long shackles in 12mm or so. Search for piling shackles. Designed for handling sheet steel piles, where the holes are fair way in from the edge.

That’s an idea as they won’t have any load on them

They are known as long shackles. I googled that and several stainless ones came up about £1.50

Sorry Parm, I didnt read your first post properly about the 150mm long. I was reading it on my carp phone while waiting for the dogs to finish running round the park....

Unfortunatly the only ones I can find now are the same as you said. Piling shackles are that long but not that small a diameter.
