Thinking about relocating my phase converter (and eventually my workshop) to a property/location with that new fangled 'mains electricity' stuff...
The supply there is rural, overhead and hence uses a TT earth system. With an RCD protected Consumer unit, could I use a D-rated breaker to feed my rotary phase converter? It currently has a d63 fitted to the control cabinet, I would hard wire it with a short run of 10mm t+e back to the new CU (fed off the meter tails directly) where there would be another d63...
Or should I convert my mill to a vfd and sell my 3 phase tig set?
