I used to have a client whose entire business was electroplating worn parts for the aerospace sector... Based on the costs they were incurring on chemicals and effluent treatment alone, they must have been charging a bloody fortune.I’ve seeen this done in the aerospace refurb sector, they always remove chrome first, dress the job, re chrome, then grind to toleranc, leaving a factory spec part
im guessing it will be quite expensive
There again, you wouldn't want to fly in an aeroplane where they'd cheaped out on repairing the landing gear and the hydraulics that move the various control surfaces would you?
