I don't mind the days work , but wouldn't a plasma cutter be quicker ?
i find it hard to believe if the steel is worth £1000 that there is any to be had as the selling company would be cutting them up faster than they could off load them
cut the thin stuff out with plasma into 7 foot squares and then do the frame & thick bits with a wizzer .
Or
Tell the farmer that there may be a gypsy you know coming to cut up the container for scrap ..of course you can have first call on it for £500 ..the scrap value is almost twice that. etc etc.

Deployed a bit of reverse psychology on my farmer friend and he's now interested in doing a deal , strange that !!
Whatever the outcome it looks like there is a real value in it so I should come out ok !
