Cutting thin plate 1/8th in

I found a 7 1/4" blade made by freud for cutting up to 1/4" furres metal. First question,
Does this really work?
Has anyone used such a blade?
How long do the blades last before needing sharpening?
And what is Furres Metal?

Looks like a TCT blade. Have a search on here for 'evolution rage' or just 'rage'. I think they're the same sort of thing.

Well I saw the HOME DEPOT flashing at the bottom of the page I'll do a search but proubablly out of my price range.
