Cutting slitting discs

Just putting it out there really as we all like to save a few ££s like most things in life you get what you pay for but just wondering 10 good quality disk say £15 or 25 for the same price what you reckon same meterage overall or is there a clear winner for the pocket

Discs I use are 65p each and good quality, Klingspor

The cheap one do an OK job but tend to disappear at a rate of knots.
I like the Norton ones, they have a quick cut and seem to last a long time but they are not cheap.

I've always used the blue spot ones but running low and wonder if it's worth changing think I pay about 50p each but you look at sealey ones are at least double

changed from blue spot to better ones I use the dronco ones

I usually use Smith and Arrow, but have just bought 50 Parweld discs to try, They are very good, My size is 125mmx1mm, Got them for 47p each.

Rhodius ones from Toolstation are about £1each and seem to last well.

The Smith and Arrow 0.8mm thick discs are very good too.

Well I know people are going to jump down my throat on this because a few years ago I had the same experience, BUT I bought some from aldi a pack of 10 for 2.49 ish and they have been ok the ones I bought last year or so, from there couldn't cut butter, and was expecting the same but was pleasantly surprised.

I bough some from Aldi a few years back, got quite a few, Thought they would do in an emergency, I was wrong, The cutting edge vanishes quicker than a rat up a drain pipe, Another thing i noticed with aldi disc is that they stick the disc labels on with spit or something similar,After the first couple came whizzing off at a great rate of knots i now remove them first if i have the misfortune to run out of "proper" discs.

Yep --------those were the ones I bought a while ago,

the ones I got this year are these they have no paper the discs are printed and are fine for the money honest.
PS I was wrong there are 11 in the pack not 10

A while back. Cost about 35p each.
They seem to last OK but the dust is very acrid. Dust mask all the time.

I got 10 dronco grinding discs recent though and they are lasting insanely well. So am going upmarket next time.

I buy blue spot discs from e.bay 100 for £39.99 delivered. on my 2nd pack now I think it's good value but must be better discs available.

ive been useing blue spot recently they seem as good as ore expensive ones

I use the Bondflex ones. Fairly cheap and they work well. Depending on the thinkness of what your cutting they either last for ages or seconds

My mate bought some Dekton ones off ebay a while back and gave me a couple to try. For a make I hadn't heard of, I was mighty impressed. Last as long as my Smith and Arrow discs and a darn sight cheaper!
