THat method works for any intersection angle aswell, just need to change the notch angles to suit.

Bought a cobing tool to go in the power press a few years back, Handy for makeing the Lifting cages up.

Got a couple of nothers to fit in the Kingsland (punch head), seen them Paul?

Don't think so - does it not just flatten the tube?

You do one side, then use the otherside of the punch to do the opposite side of the tube, the top tool punch, is quite intricatly ground.

I tried cutting pipe with a pipe notcher works fine but it is very slow. It does look better than just flattening the end of the pipe I'm on the lookout for a press any idea what size press I would need to flatten 3 inch pipe

get a 9" angle grinder and cut a v notch into it, you can fill the left over v with weld
