I accidentally bought 5l of Tygris T515 Moly cutting fluid so that's all I try to use, since it was quite expensive!
The "best" stuff I've used is HMT Speedlube, it's worth every penny. My brother uses it exclusively.
1. it comes in aerosol so no faffing with tins and squirters etc.
2. it foams so it stays in place much better than normal lube on vertical or upside-down surfaces etc. The foam dies back fairly quickly but it's "just right".
3. the actual cutting lubrication is fantastic, you can almost feel a mag drill bite in faster when using it.
I know what you mean - I usually start the drill and then stick the oil on.Anyway, it foams....I hate it...I can't see my centre pop.
i still use me home made water veg oil and fairy concution!
When you say pitch pine, do you mean pine tar?Rocol cutting oil is good. However it contains Pitch Pine, so you need to clean your gear afterwards as it goes very sticky and stains.
I think its the resin that leaks out to heal bark scars. When you say pitch pine, do you mean pine tar?
Ah ok.I think its the resin that leaks out to heal bark scars.
I find WD40 great for most stuff. I’m not sure if it makes your cutting tools last as long but the finish it gives is excellent.Wd40
Hate the sticky stuff that binds chips
