My current project involves chopping up lots of 6mm rod into short lengths, currently using bolt cutter as it's the fastest and cleanest method I have, but it is killing me.
I'm a 12.5 stone weakling and my arms cannot take it. I either end up with one handle on the bench and press down with the other one, or one against my chest and pull towards me.
Currently considering a bench shear as a better alternative. I see some claim 10 or more mm cutting capacities, which would be nice, but I can't imagine that would be easy?
Any other options?
