IMO you don't need a carbide holesaw. A good hss saw is better. This is a Kennedy 152mm i have used in a pillar drill. About as big as I would want to go as it overpowers the arbour!!
Of course. You will strip the thread otherwise!!You need to be driving it with the pins, not th thread.
All stuff and nonsense in the world of hotrodsJust remember altering the chassis can cause all sorts of problems such as MOT / tax exemption, Q reg allocating etc if the vehicle ever gets inspected
So far I've not stripped the thread - but I have needed long pry bars and vice to undo a few when I didn't make sure the pins were extended.Of course. You will strip the thread otherwise!!
A holesaw will do that no bother in a pillar drill, I cut 14 off 108mm dia holes in 3mm steel two weeks ago without trouble.
yea providing its got back gear and a decent size motor on it
Have you considered a jigsaw cutter ?
One of the reasons we want to keep repair sections as close as we can to the original design.Just remember altering the chassis can cause all sorts of problems such as MOT / tax exemption, Q reg allocating etc if the vehicle ever gets inspected
So the rules don't apply !All stuff and nonsense in the world of hotrods![]()
