I very rarely use an angle grinder now for cutting new sheet esp for repair patches,7-8 yrs ago i bought a throatless shear for eg
cleaner,quicker and safer(best thing i ever bought)
Of course,still use slitting discs for cutting out the crap/rust,but if i can start the cut with this i normally end up finishing the rest with a 12V recip saw(Milwaukee)
