Myconsumables for cutting discs seem to last a good amount of time and are pretty good on price.
Please could you suggest a brand or supplier? I had a look but couldnt see any listed as zirconium, only for flap discs.1mm slitting discs are the way to go for 115/125mm cutting. zirconium ones last longer than standard ones. Budget around £1 - £1.20 each.
I use Rasta discs and flap wheels atm, its a local supplier Weldtech.I'm often using it to cut round bar so maximum depth is useful. Both of mine are 115mm's but I am tempted to get 125mm's and make a bigger guard for it. The parkside grinder has a low rpm anyway.
Actually been finding my mini 3" grinder has more usable depth due to the smaller centre bolt and body and its not that much slower.

Faithfull any good? They have a tin
Parweld?
A mix of things, I dont do much sheet and where possible I now prefer the mini 3" 12v grinder anyway. So for me, the 4.5" grinder comes out for chopping 30-70mm round bar. The recent lumps were 50mm stainless when the bandsaw went off..You don't say what you intend cutting but if it is thin guage you need to secure it well as if it vibrates while cutting it will turn discs to dust in no time.

) and had 2 shatter. reminded me of clarke 3mm cutting discs from years back before 1mm were availableLooks like the stainless has over heated your blade.A mix of things, I dont do much sheet and where possible I now prefer the mini 3" 12v grinder anyway. I have some 2.5" chromed hydraulic bar, I want to chop a lump off next week. I would bore it out first but its far too long to go in the lathe.
