Cut "N" scroll tool

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has or has used one of these:

Look pretty nifty for doing gates etc..... in a small workshop

I am happy to be proved wrong but cutting 16mm bar? not sure of that.

If I was buying similar tooling it would be metalcraft, great stuff that actually does more than it advertises it's limits are.

What a crazy description! I recon someone got muddled up 25x5 etc fair enough, you can do that via a jig but 16mm bar??????????? I should get that clarified in writing before purchase, test it and either say "neat buy" to yourself or send it back for a refund
Buy the scrolls out of proper size steel in bulk or forge them proper IMO. I hate lightweight scroll work personally

I also hate light scrollwork in general, I prefer belting hot iron into shape, but it does have its uses for adding decorative touches to things. The one below was done with the metalcraft scrollformer I picked up ages ago after someone here pointed me at in on ebay and to my surprise its come in very handy!

That would be me then !!

Glad you are getting use out of it, I ma using my stuff a bit but nowhere near its full potential due to garage space !!

That's the one! Many thanks! It all sat under my bench in a box for months and months until it finally occurred to me that I could do this kind of thing with it! Now I use it a fair bit and my customers love it. Every one is different and it doesn't take too long to produce. It really sets my work apart, which is what we like!
