Hi, my current transformer is not giving the readings given by the service manual, where would I get a supplier for a replacement,

Can I turn the machine on with this fault without damaging other components?

Will it turn on, don't want to try anything which will cause more damage than I have already.

If there are markings on the transformer, you could search for that part #.

You sure the output (of the welder) is actually what it should be? Very rare for a CT to fail; I work on MPI machines that operate on the same principles and have never known a CT go open or short-circuit.

As above, CT's have no moving parts and I've never known one fail. How are you checking the current while testing the CT readings?, ideally a calibrated load bank/ammeter should be used.

Hi, thanks for the replies, this welder was supposedly dropped, it had a damaged input module which I have now replaced, I thought I would check the CT while I was in that area and I should be getting as the service manual is quite comprehensive, it all looks in good condition,
I have not checked while the machine is running, only looking for the readings given in the manual.
