We often do it with the merlin, however given I exploded it, unfortunately not this year. It’s a good day though!

Croft brings back good memories, I was a founding member when it opened in the early sixties, Along with sir Robert Ropner and Keith schellenberg, I still have the little blue membership card, But sadly my ally bodied light weight XK 120 has long gone, Photograph taken fifty six years ago, Fantastic looking car, Its first owner was the managing director of Ferodo.

Whoever went to Croft today, I hope they had a really great day, lots of interesting mechanical masterpieces, Back in the day Keith Schellenberg raced his straight eight Bently, I think that is where he snapped the crankshaft,.

There was a big radial engine on a test bed . Sadly I missed it running .
Could have been a Hercules.

I suspect Patrick with his Bristol Hercules , he lives over that way anyways! He’s got a wright cyclone he’s building too
