So after my recent fizzing vs sizzling issue (let's just say a certain supplier gave me the wrong type of mini-cylinder!) I've been doing more practise in preparation for welding up my locost chassis.
I still seem to have a few cratering issues - I've got the power up quite high to try and get some decent penetration. I'm holding at the end of the weld to try and fill the crater but would like some advice on whether there's any better way of doing it?
I'm using a Clarke 135TE, 0.8mm wire and Argon/CO2. Here are the pics:
