cranked ring spanner set recomendations

I need a set of cranked ring spanners not too expensive as just for home use but not cheap rubbish that will round all me bolts of either.

I have some Kamasa, bought them as cheap specifically for a job, 10mm snapped on first use and I found they had a lifetime warranty, E-mail to the company on Tuesday, company director responded on Tuesday, new spanner arrived on Thursday in the post with no quibbles and they didn't even want the old one back. Had them for several years now with no other issues.

Halfords spanners and sockets are fine and good value for home use.

I have a set from Sealy, they spend most of the time gathering dust.

But when I need one, they never have let me down.

Those spanners are not Halfords branded ones, also not sold or sent by Halfords.
They seem to be using outside suppliers for web sales and you won't get the same backup that the shops will give you.
Not saying there bad spanners but probably generic Chinelese stuff.

I thought maybe they were a new Halfords brand name, but you may well be right. The lifetime warranty I think is only for their professional range. The Halfords professional range is quite good and if you can get it on offer is good value.

I quite often buy a lot of my bike parts through Halfords as they are just round the corner and their online prices are very competitive and much cheaper than in the shop, so I order it on my phone and walk over to get the parts.

I picked a set up from Aldi for about £4. They only go up to 19mm but have come in handy a few times.

I've got expensive spanners but also a cheap set from Aldi that are great for dirty jobs where there is a chance they might get lost etc. Chrome gets a little rusty in places if you leave them outside buried in mud for a few weeks but otherwise excellent value for money and plenty good enough as a "starter set" for DIY.

We had some Aldi ratchet spanner sets in the maintenance toolboxes at work, they lasted well apart from one of the 10mm ratchets being killed by a ham fisted fitter

I prefer any spanners to be in mirror chrome over the satin finish for ease of cleaning, just a quick wipe rather than a scrub. Decent stuff goes in the workshop but I cant fault the bergen/uspro/range ( same thing), I make up kits for the tucks so the guys have some basic sets when they go out, they tend to lose tools so no point in spending loads on them. They have never managed to break any of these so they must be strong.

i have a set of theres and also a set of britool ones along with a set of kenedy professional ones. i only ever use the halfords ones because there in a case and easy to see which one u want without rooting through the loose more expensive sets
