Wouldn’t even consider Wellseal or Hermetite nowadays, have stripped engines in the 1960s and found oil ways blocked with red Hermetite!
Also a lot of people after lightly spreading the sealant don't let it air off for 20 mins and nail it up with the stuff still sweating. This slows the curing time and can fail.
I do it that way ^^^, smear it with a gloved finger just as thin as you can.
let it tack up.
