Hi,hope this is the correct forum!
I'm about to have my 40-year-old alloy wheels powder coated and the firm have offered to have them crack tested once they're stripped.
Does anyone know if this is a) possible, because the only crack testing I've heard of involved steel and a big magnet, or b) necessary because I believe alloy is so brittle that if it did crack the wheel would pretty soon disintegrate anyway?
It's only £10 a wheel but I'd rather not waste it!
Thanks
Alex.
