My husband has a welder that he can flip between a MIG/TIG and has been using it to make garden art/fix chairs etc but he is really self taught. Can anyone recommend a 1 day course/workshop to help him make sure he is using it correctly and is taking the right safety precautions? We live in Berkshire. Many thanks in advance

Any Men's Sheds near you? Worth asking there too.

I haven't found a one day course I felt was worth the money, might be better to find a more experienced welder who might be able to offer some tuition for free/fee/beer tokens. I've asked a family friend for opinions before when I got stuck.

Try your local Tech or Agri collage. They do courses.

Look in the local job centre, as they will be able to point you at local training courses.
One days courses are normally an introduction to welding.

MIS don't do courses as such. You may find a welder there who could help.

I would contact your nearest college they usually do courses on most subjects day/evening.
