i sat all my codings through babies in renfru, i dont know the costs as it was the company that paid! but the guys ther were extremly helpfull and will do what ever they can to help you pass the tests (every thing exept welding the piece for you )
I served my apprentiship at Babcocks in Tipton. The welder training facility there is world class. It has recently been refurbished and it far better than anything else available in the UK (poss Europe)
I was at the welder Training school this morning actually and apart from the 20 or so apprentices, there was about 6 or 7 guys who were either recieving training or testing out.
Hi, thanks for those answers, it really is the place to learn isn't it!!
I rang them today+ they charge £50 for an 'assesment' (Boy, that may be embarassing, ha ha), £300 per day (8am to 4.30pm i think, same price for fridays even though they then finish at 2.30pm) and £40 per test!!
Blimey!!!
