Anyone know of any decent ones, food, booze, animals, good stands / talks etc
Missed the one in Thame Easter bank hols, used to be good, went to one at Blenheim palace last year which was poor.

Don't mind travelling a few hours from north Bucks. Cheers.

Game Fair is about the best.

Kent county and edenbridge/oxted are usually fairly good.

Essex young farmers in a few weeks but i think it's a bit dear for the size of it.

Game Fair at Blenheim Palace

The Game Fair is returning to Blenheim Palace to celebrate the Great British Countryside and all its pursuits.

Edenbridge v Blenheim is a bit of a toss up, same days.
Chatsworth as well, mrs wants to do all 3. I like them so I don't mind.

You've got about 500 yards of food stalls all in one row plus there will be plenty of food in the food and drink marquee.

We had a wildfowlers club trip to the Game fair last time it was at Blenheim, bloody good day out, Spent several hours drooling at gunmakers row at stuff we couldnt afford including guns.
The food stalls were excelent, a couple of circuits for free samples & you are mostly sorted!

Wifey and I used to go to Chatsworth many years ago before it got expensive. Only problem with it is a PITA to get in and out of.

I've got Chatsworth and Kent in the dairy, planning to stay localish or closer interesting towns overnight so we make 2 days of both.

Blenheim is only an hour away usually so will book that as well.
From memory the last 2 Blenheim events I went to were not great, a spring flowers thing and a medieval thing which was just daft & a bit funny. But the game fair does read to be right up our street.

Used to have Blenheim house membership but let expire - after I nicked the bog of course..

We go every year to Edenbridge and Oxted show, and camp overnight, as SWMBO loves her horsey stuff. There is usually a variety of things to see.

Still not big enough to put the other half into, shut it and lock it. If it were there would still be noise...

My core instruments are Ruan (Chinese guitar), San Xian (3 stringed instrument that is the original version of the Japanese Shamisen), and Liuqin (small Chinese lute).

That's the lady with the pink/dark hair, I believe.

Did Kent country fair this Sunday just gone.
It was very big, the weather was sunny one minute and hissing down the next.
Big focus on farm stock and competitions which was good, not a farmer but found it very interesting.

The food on offer to eat was not great and very few stalls on local produce to take away which was a shame.
Lots of usual tat, some non impulse buy stands like JCB and Kubota which were interesting.

Farrier competitions against the clock, they were glad for the nice breeze, not sure if @hotponyshoes was there or judging

Blenheim next, looking forward to the food and shooting stands - £36 entry bloody steep! God knows what the stands are paying.

Netley Marsh steam up rally is soon I believe , which reminds me I must block all the gateways and remove battery s from tractors ,basically full lock down for a week . As a certain type turn up along with the genuine folk.
