Numbers and logo's are a feature of die casting. Good quality alloys can be used in a die casting but chances are its cheaper/recycled rubbish/cans have been used in its manufacture.
Yer average aluminium can is made from a very decent alloy, carefully controlled within very close limits - anything else brings the production speed right down due to jams, tears, angel hairs, excessive pickup in tooling, problems in heat treatment, printing, forming, necking, flanging . . . and with the cost per can being tiny, the slightest problem very quickly starts to cause considerable financial issues!
Might be a good candidate for Alumiweld ro similar brazing rods especially if you can build up some reinforcement or even a gusset. There are fake rods being sold so buy from a trustworthy company if you do.
I have managed to break it off completely in trying to clean the split. I have tried standard Araldite, although I very much doubt that it will do the job.
