you're in for a world of pain if you go back for another litre in 6 months and it dont match , then you end up having to paint a whole side or front end to make it match
Start to finish through the week, ground out rust spots and covered with Fertan, brushed on Lechler epoxy primer and flatted back and fill as required, several thin coats of Lechler hi build as I'm only using my 1.3 gun, quick guide coat of black etch primer from a can, flat back and feather and several coats of ie ? gloss too flat back tomorrow, match is good !

not sure i would suggest brake cleaner over panel wipe , some can be quiet angry and may upset old paint /poor quality primers , proper panel wipe isnt any dearer and id not risk messing up a job over it
glass cleaner spray is popular with youtube painters- again i dont want to be riddled with silicones because i cheaped out
Fair point. When I last bought some I found brake cleaner about 50% cheaper than panel wipe but you're right it's not much more expense in the grand scheme of things. PRO XL panel wipe seems to do the job and only a few coins more than brake cleaner. Whilst I've never had any issues with residue or fisheyes with brake cleaner it can dissolve 1k primer a bit more than proper panel wipe as you say. To avoid that I usually just spray onto a microfibre cloth then wipe which isn't the officially safe method for ensuring proper decreasing. If it's cured epoxy primer I spray onto the panel then wipe off.not sure i would suggest brake cleaner over panel wipe , some can be quiet angry and may upset old paint /poor quality primers , proper panel wipe isnt any dearer and id not risk messing up a job over it
