Cost for converting Migmate 150 DP to gas?

After a disatrous buy of another welder I have now found a 150 DP that is close to home and was wondering...

how much will it cost to convert the thing to gas?

What are peoples general experience with these welders?

(its gonna be put into use welding a splitty camper!)

A read through this section would give you a bit of an insight into the general opinion of SIP machines but just to give you an idea, more owners complain about them than any other brand.
To convert it you'd need one of these and some gas.

How much is the SIP going for? If it's cheap enough it might be worth a punt.

On evil bay at about £72 at moment - plus its a max of 20mins from where I live so no postage or huge amounts of petrol required.

Obviously a personal pref but what would be a reasonable max for it to be a good punt; £100?

I don't think I'd even want to pay the £72 it's currently at so it's up to you what it's worth to you really. At least he says you can test it before paying for it.
Just don't go mad and overbid, look at the completed listings and you'll see what sort of money they've sold for.

Hmm thats what I was thinking - did just find a Clarke 180 on there near bradford but thats a good 2hr drive each way so easily £40 fuel I reckon on top of the welder.

Looks like might just have to hold out/pay more for a clarke.
