Cosmo Air Compressor not holding pressure

I basically bought this compressor to loosen a crank nut!

Its not blowing off at all,

it builds the pressure up to 600 kpva quickly but then struggles

ideas ?

The air must be going somewhere.

I had a compressor that was nearly the same but with a smaller tank, it builds up to pressure and then allows the exess air to escape via a spring loaded valve.

the blow off is not all that obvious in that it is not concentrated in one big discharge.

It sounds like either the inlet valve is not closing fully or has become weak. As the piston comes up some of the high pressure air is leaking back the the air filter, or air is leaking past the piston.

Hi

I spoke to SIP today, and they said the cosmos has 2 things that can go wrong.
the headgasket and the piston rubber.

I have ordered the piston rubber as the guy said it would most definitley be that.

will update once changed

does anyone know where I can get a 54109
gum valve for a compressor from ?
