Hi , new on here , and have enjoyed reading the Q and A's regarding all aspects of welding ...
I do have a problem that has just arisen with my Cosmo 200 ...All of a sudden it has started to crackle , and will not feed wire correctly because of this .Without arcing the torch , the wire feeds lovely , smooth and constant (new feeder sheath thing just fitted) , however as soon as you attempt to arc the wire feed / motor sounds erratic , and short of power, and weld spatters and crackles?? Also the fan has stopped working , and there is no hum whatsoever from the machine when turned on ?? Should the fan run once on/off switch is switched on ? The coil on the inside base of the welder(in front of the fan) gets hot really , really quickly .
Please help , as I cant afford a new welder , and no one here wants to repair it for me , just sell me a new one !!!!
