I buy and use Britool break back wrenches. Had them years and never any problems. It is best to buy the best on the important tools IMHO.

I use a torque wrench wherever I can on engines, but for those little M6 bolts I would NEVER bother, I trust my hands a lot more for some reason.

You say that but I bought a brand new one and it over torqued and snapped two bolts so I sent it back. The replacement that I got sent out didn't work in reverse

So in the end I went and got a German made one to replace it and has been faultless plus with a bonus of the adjustment being lighter too.

Let us know their response/how you get on,....my 1/4" torque wrench is one of theirs.

Oil and even Loctite will lubricate the threads and fool the torque wrench. I read somewhere that Loctite on the threads requires a 20% reduction of torque.

Looks like I'm better off with some wrist action rather than using a torque wrench....
