if you get the backup service I have had from Hilti over the last few years, we had a few dozen various tools, some buy outright some on lease, their repair infrastructure is second to none, drop it in the depot Monday off to Glasgow or the depot down south for repair returned by courier Wednesday, every time no exceptions, even dropped stuff in 16.40 Hrs Mon still back in two days, repair replace, no quibble no fuss, costs a bit more, guarantee and after sales service second to none, sadly getting spares to fix it ya self is a major problem, + all sorts of security features have been developed, If you ever buy a dodgy bit of gear think very hard about taking it in for repair, Seriel numbers are even inside the case. and if its been recorded in the Hilti system expect your collar to be getting felt. Every stolen piece, we informed Hilti of the model and seriel number.lasers drills drivers etc etc
good buy you wont regret it.

Agreed Stan.
I've been quoted 12 quid a month lease for a 4.5" grinder. The amount of grinders we break/wear out, its sounding worthwhile.
Their service is very good.

That one was 320 quid but included a free grinder and a few other things chucked in the deal.
Cost of it priced into the job, so no big problem if it dies soon after the guarantee ends. Blue Bosch and Hilti flavour of the month at the moment

2 batteries with it.
Tried to flog me a rip saw that uses the same batteries....'great for cutting sheet steel'.
See that big grey thing in the corner...that's even better at cutting sheet steel...
