why not go with electroplating?

I believe that the rate of building up a layer resistant to abrasion will be inadequately long. No matter how months. To master the profession of self-taught electroplating is long and painful (mistakes).
And chemical problems. Copper sulfate, ethyl alcohol - it's not a problem to buy, a problem with sulfuric acid. Solution control for depletion and so on. I know a little about the theory of this case, and I don't like it.

Don't chrome platers use copper plating first as a filling material. If I were you, I'd be contacting a chroming company and seeing if they can copper plate the sheets for you.

And in what area of repair do you use metal spraying. Is it an auxiliary process (addition to the main work) or a separate service? And the question on zinc is how harmful or licensed it is. I believe that some of the zinc spray flies to the floor and evaporates. The filtering mask is understandable. Where is the cash hidden in this technology? (queue of customers)
